Domain names are the names of the websites.For example- www.google.com,


Internet can't be imagined without websites.There are number of websites in the internet.With the help of domain name we can easily find a website in the internet.Each website has it's own domain name and no two websites can have similar domain name.

Here some domain names have been given and whatever you are seeing at the last of the domain names i.e.  
.com
.net
.org
.gov
.edu
are known as domain name extension.
There are so many other domain name extension but here are some of them only.


Domain registration

There are domain registrar company.For example- godaddy.com is one of them which is so popular.If you want to start a website then you will have to go to domain registrar company and have to register a domain name or buy a domain name.Then you can attach it to your website.

Your domain name is valid for one year only and then you will have to renew it otherwise it will expire and someone can buy it then.

You can also do domain name business.You can buy domain at low cost and can sell that at higher price to make a profit.
